The final product!

Step 1: Gather manicure necessities.
You will need: nail polish remover, nail file, nail buffer, cuticle eliminator, angled flat tip brush, nail polish of choice, top coat, and rapid paint dry.
Step 2: Zap those overgrown cuticles with a bottle of cuticle eliminator. (Safer than trimming them).
Step 3: File nails into desired shape.  I like mine squoval (square/oval).
Step 4: Buff nails to create a soft surface for the paint to go on smoothly.
Step 5: Start to paint your nails.
Step 6: Bring brush out to edges and base of nail, but try to avoid getting paint on your skin, then when you are done with the color, paint on a top coat.
Step 7: Use your angled flat tip brush and fill the lid of your nail polish remover with a small amount of polish remover.  Go around the edges of your nails to remove any excess paint. Basically do clean-up duty.  This is the key to making your manicure look professional.

My secrets are:
*Use the cuticle eliminator (can be found here).
*Buff nails so polish goes on smoothly and easily.
*Do touch-ups when you finish painting your nails.
*My favorite top coat is Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (found here).
