Mixing & Matching

Today I went for comfort, I just wasn't in the mood for jeans.  Dresses are always my favorite choice when I want to be comfy, so in the Winter I rock sweater dresses.  It's a step up from yoga pants, right?

Lately I have been making an attempt to mix and match different patterns.  My style is usually simple with a bit of prep in the mix, but I don't want it to be that limited.  Mixing patterns can be a very scary thing.  The models in Cosmo do it so well, but I feel like it can easily go wrong.

Sweater Dress: Robin K. (Nordstrom Rack)Kinda Similar
Scarf: Target Similar
Boots: Go Jane Similar
Watch: MK
Bracelets: T+J Designs & F21
Polish: Carry On by Essie

If you guys have any tips on mixing different patterns, I would love to hear!

  1. I think stripes and leopard is always a winning combo. My advice on pattern mixing is to use your instincts. If something doesn't look or feel right to you, change it up.
I think we have similar views when it comes to style so I seem to always understand your perspective.
For what its worth, I think your style instincts are right on! You look fab as always.
