Ipsy Review: February Glam Bag

Hi ladies, sorry my posts have been so slim this week, I have been traveling for work this week and didn't really prep any posts over the weekend.  In my last video, I talked a little bit about Ipsy and some of the products that I received.  If you are not familiar with Ipsy, it's a monthly beauty subscription service.  The subscription services is only $10 a month and you receive a small cosmetic bag and five items that include both sample and full size products.  The items you are sent each month are based around a quiz you take when you initially signup.  I started the service in January, so this is my second glam bag.  Below I will talk about my personal opinion on this services, including what I like and dislike about it.

First of all, I love that they send you your glam box in a bright pink package and when you open it up all of the items come in a cute little cosmetic bag.  This may be TMI... but the cosmetic bags are the perfect size to hold tampons!  Anyways, like I said they send samples and full size products, you also typically receive a beauty tool.  Last month is was a really nice eyeshadow brush and this month it was an eyelash curler, I really love that they send a beauty tool.  From what I can tell so far, they send at least one powder product, like a blush or eyeshadow; one lip product and one skincare product.  It also seems they will send one more "anything" product, like eyeliner, cream eyeshadow, or in this case a hair product.

My personal thoughts:
I really enjoy the wide variety of products I receive each month, typically they are new brands that I am not familiar with.  I like this because it exposes me to new lines I would have never tried before.  All of the items seem to be fairly high quality, except for some of the lip products.  The lip products are something I am just not a fan of, I do not like lip stains and I am extremely picky about lipstick.  I do like that you get a little cosmetic bag each month, but I feel like after you have 5 bags, you don't need more and would have to start giving them away to friends and family, but I guess that is not all bad ;)  I also really like how the products are smaller, if you have been following my blog for a while now, you know I am a huge fan of cosmetic samples.  It's a nice way to see if you want to commit to it without purchasing the full size item.  Overall I really like Ipsy, it's a fun package to receive each moth and it's very inexpensive.  I may switch subscription services in a few months to try BoxyCharm, but for now I am content :)

If you are interested in signing up for this monthly subscription, make sure to visit Ipsy and sign up for your monthly Glam Bag!
