Lilly for Target - My thoughts

Wedges: Forever 21 (old), Similar, Similar, Cute Option
KS Ring

I could not believe how insane the Lilly Pulitzer collab for Target really was.  I checked the site at about midnight MST on Saturday and it had crashed, so I just went to bed and decided I would try my luck in stores.  Initially I was going to head to Target when I got around to it, but I woke up at 7 a.m. and saw the news for all of the other store that were ahead of our time so I hustled over to Target in my yoga leggings and no makeup to venture into the craziness to see what I could get my hands on.  Luckily the Target near us only had about 20 people in line when I arrive at 7:45 a.m.  I managed to get the dress pictured above, as well as this shift dress (which I had to get a size 6, so I will have to have it altered), these fun shorts and a few other small accessories.  I was surprised by how small the collection of clothing they had for sale at the Target I went to was, I thought most of the dresses would be at all of the stores.

As far as the quality goes, it seems to be very good for the price, the cotton shirt dresses are thick with high quality adorable zippers! Overall I am satisfied with the line, I just wish Target was more prepared for the madness, I missed out on this bikini because of the website crashing :-/

  1. I know the whole launch was a whirlwind of 8 hours! I had to write the timeline of my experience down! http://bit.ly/1F1zDzB

Literally grown women (who most certainly were not Lilly people) cleared racks of clothing and took all the scarves before anyone else could get anything. I'm glad I decided to go! I got the shift and the sandals I wanted. Still bummed that my kimono sold out online. I'm HOPING it'll go back up by ways of someones return!

  3. BTW I agree the people who were grabbing racks of clothes were not going to wear it and we're just there to re sell it which is a shame.

  4. I'm right there with you on the whole not prepared thing. For some reason I couldn't sleep well and checked their website around 5 or 6 and after it finally loaded, EVERYTHING was sold out online. And then there are the pieces already on eBay for double the price. Luckily Lilly Pulitzer planned well and sent out their new arrivals the very next day. Looks like I'll be spending the big $$ for a few of their new items.
