Hunter Boots, Let's Compare: Costco vs. Nordstroms

I posted on my Facebook page about how Costco has Hunter boots for only $80 (retail price $150) and I knew I needed to order another pair.

The Hunter boots are a "Costco membership required item", which means if you do not have a membership, you cannot purchase them.  But do not fret if you are not a Costco member, Nordstrom is price matching, so you can still get a pair for only $80.  When you go to Nordstrom's website, click live chat and let them know you want to price match their hunters to the Costco hunters.  What I have heard is they are only price matching the colors that Costco is selling.  If you take a look at the photo below, the big different between the Nordstrom Hunter boots and the Costco Hunter boots is the gloss versus matte finish.  Because I already had the Original High Gloss, I decided to go with 'Original Tall' Rain Boot in Hunter Green.  The box they both came in is a little different as well.  If you have not taken advtage of this big savings, I highly recommend that you do!

  1. If you don't have a membership, the price doesn't show on Costco's website. Any suggestions?

    2. Hello do you happen to know why Costco hunters look different , like they're missing the hunter letters on the buckle and the hunter stamp on the bottom sole

    3. Hi Jackeline,

I agree they have very minor differences. Mine do have the hunter lettering on the buckle, but do not have the Hunter logo on the sole. I am not quite sure why this is, but my guess is Costco purchased the bulk order through Hunter Boots and they may be from last year. It's possible that they made a new minor changes, such as placing their logo on the sole of the boot.

  4. Hi! Quick comment that if people are still wishing to price-match with Nordstrom, the Costco website needs to have the color AND size in stock. If your size isn't in stock, they can't give you the Costco price (unfortunately, but it makes sense).
Another side note, for those who didn't know, Nordstrom is known for price matching other companies as well. So if they don't have your size at Costco, you can find other good deals online (like amazon for example) - and they can most likely price-match that price given.
